Youth Football at Kedron Lions

Youth football is an exciting step in the AFL journey, bridging the gap between junior footy and senior competition. At Kedron Lions, we provide a fun, inclusive, and competitive environment for players aged 13 to 17, helping them develop their skills, fitness, and game sense while fostering lifelong friendships.

Our youth teams compete in the AFL Queensland competition, taking on clubs from across the region in well-structured and development-focused leagues. With professional coaching, strong club support, and a welcoming community, Kedron Lions is the perfect place to continue your AFL journey.

Age Groups & Teams

We offer teams for both Boys & Girls across multiple divisions, catering to players of all skill levels:

Under 13s – Introduction to competitive football with a focus on skill development and game understanding.
Under 15s – More advanced gameplay, strategic development, and preparation for higher competition levels.
Under 17s – Preparing players for senior football with advanced skills, strength, and strategy. High-intensity competition with a focus on refining skills and leadership.

Season Format:

Pre-Season Training: Comprehensive pre-season training programs to prepare athletes for the upcoming competition.
Regular Season Matches: Weekly fixtures against regional teams, fostering healthy competition and community engagement.
Finals Series: Culminating in a competitive finals series to determine the champions in each age division.
Representative Opportunities: Players may be selected for regional representative teams or state squads based on performance and potential.
