The Kedron Lions are thrilled to announce an exciting new program of activities designed to grow women’s football, build confidence, and create more pathways for women in coaching — all kicking off this September!
We’ve got three fantastic opportunities for women and girls to get involved, whether you’ve never touched a footy before, are looking to get back into the game, or want to explore the world of coaching.
1. Free Four-Week AFL Skills Development Clinic
📅 Monday evenings from 22 September, 6:00pm
Over four weeks, we’ll cover the core skills of Australian Rules Football in a fun, inclusive, and welcoming environment. You’ll learn how to kick, mark, handball, tackle, and shepherd — all while having the most fun possible.
Bring a friend or come solo and make new ones. This clinic is for women and girls, women-identifying individuals, and non-binary or gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of women in football. All ages welcome!
What’s on each week:
- Week 1: Kicking & Marking
- Week 2: Handballing
- Week 3: Tackling & Shepherding
- Week 4: Game Day Practice

You don’t need a team — just register and we’ll place you in one. Whether you’re new to the game or a returning player, you’ll enjoy fast-paced, non-contact AFL in a social, supportive environment.
